The Avenor development team recently toured the construction site of our flagship mixed use office development project, Atlassian Central, in Sydney’s Tech Central precinct. Avenor initiated this project in 2016 with Atlassian, bringing it to life. New owners of the project, Dexus and Atlassian are making great progress with construction being undertaken by Built.
Avenor deployed it’s development origination expertise, from the early stages of identifying and securing the site, through masterplanning Tech Central, securing the DA approval, coordinating design, appointing the builder and completing the fund-through sale. Seeing the vision materialise on site was a rewarding milestone for the team.
Valued at circa $1.5 billion, the 75,000 sqm tower will become the future Australian headquarters for Atlassian and the world’s tallest hybrid timber building. During the site visit, Avenor team members saw their hard work in creating this world leading and innovative design come to life, like the green steel exoskeleton framing the glass façade, the engineered natural ventilation system and the innovative high-rise timber habitats that define the building’s state-of-the-art design. The tower will integrate office, retail and hotel accommodation spaces alongside public areas creating a world-class environment designed to elevate wellbeing, collaboration, and the day-to-day experience of everyone within the tower.
